Mixing is a preparation method used in a variety of application areas: from the fodder industry to the food, chemical and pharmaceutical ones. The purpose of this process is to obtain a homogeneous mixture starting from two or more components of various kinds.

Horizontal mixers, MG RB series, are equipment intended for mixing powders with powders and powders with liquid additives. The mixing action is promoted by a ribbon agitator immersed in the substance which, inside the mixing tank, causes it to be moved along crossed lines. This action also facilitates the subsequent unloading phase by conveying the product to the center of the tank in which the unloading mouth is located with a pneumatically operated plug valve to avoid dead spots of unmixed material
This process represents the ideal solution for a maximum mixing quality of delicate products whose physical properties are perfectly preserved. Furthermore, For special needs Nuova Guseo mixers can be manufactured in double shaft version and with the addition of an underlying hopper of the same volume as the mixing tank, which allows to operate almost continuously, eliminating dead unloading times.
Variables in the mixing process

In the context of solids treatment, the result of a mixing process depends on variables relating to the substances to be mixed, the characteristics of the mixer used and the mixing conditions.

Cleaning and overall dimensions of horizontal mixers
In addition to the proven effectiveness of the mixing action, these equipment guarantee a reduced overall height and an easy cleaning activity, thanks to the total opening of the lid above the mixing tank.
Directive 2014/34 EU (Atex)
For use in classified areas (with the presence of hazardous gas and / or dust mixtures) the equipment is manufactured in compliance with the 2014/34 EU Directive.
Possible implementation with nozzles for introducing liquid additives
